Woodworking goes back several generations in my family.
My grandfather was a famous woodworker and had the first miniature golf course in
Oklahoma. Each hole had a unique theme combining his mechanical and woodworking skills.
My father was a part time house builder so I guess you could say that “wood” runs in the family.
I live in Oklahoma and in 1984 the oil business went bust. It
affected the
livelihood of both me and my wife. I decided to go into wood working business full-time since I already had sold several hundred gifts to stores and the general public.
For the first 3 or 4 months I went to craft shows selling wood name trains and wood toys. I did Ill but not Ill enough to make a full time go of it. That is when the Sullivan Name Bench was created. You can see that it is very different
from any other name stools or benches on the market.
I strongly believe a gift, whether for a child or adult, should be unique,
an item of great joy and pride to "showoff”. It is my strongest desire to provide you with a gift that is just that. A gift of very high quality, unusual in design and/or material, personal and educational when merited, a gift that will immediately become an heirloom.
